Valve Body Assembly: Reassembly

  1. Lubricate all parts with ATF and install into proper valve body bores in reverse order of disassembly. DO NOT overtighten plate attaching screws. Overtightening can strip threads or distort valve body enough to cause valve to stick.
  2. Ensure all check balls are installed in proper valve body passages. Check ball "A" is .12" (3 mm) in diameter. All other check balls are .24" (6 mm) in diameter. See Figure . Install screws attaching transfer plate to main valve body, and tighten from center outward. DO NOT overtighten. See Figure .
