Oil Pump Assembly: Disassembly

  1. Remove pump cover attaching screws and separate cover from pump housing. Remove check ball and spring from pump body. Lift out pump gears and drive plate. See Fig 1 .
  2. Unhook piston ring ends and remove rings from pump body. Remove thrust washer from end of pump housing.
