Removal Procedure

  1. Grasp the intake manifold cover in the middle of the right side and pull up in order to disengage the cover from the studs.
  2. Grasp the intake manifold cover in the middle of the left side and pull up in order to disengage the cover from the studs.
  3. Disconnect the ignition coils and remove electrical harness from stud.
  4. Disconnect the cam phaser electrical connector.
  5. Remove the intake manifold cover.

  6. Remove the oil fill cap.
  7. Remove the insulator.
  8. Reinstall the oil fill cap.
