Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the MAF sensor.
- Ignition OFF, test for less than 10 ohms between the MAF sensor signal low circuit terminal 4 and ground G104.
- If greater than the specified range, test the signal low circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the PCM.
- Ignition ON, test for battery voltage on the ignition 1 voltage circuit terminal 3.
- If less than B+, repair the open/high resistance in the ignition 1 voltage circuit.
- Verify the scan tool MAF sensor parameter is less than 0.5 g/s.
- If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the PCM.
- Connect a test lamp between the ignition 1 voltage circuit terminal 3 and the signal circuit terminal 5. Verify the MAF sensor parameter is greater than 200 g/s.
- If less than the specified range, test the signal high circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the PCM.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the MAF sensor.
