Installation Procedure

  1. Install the intake manifold.
    2. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER CAUTION .
  2. Using a TORX® socket E6, install the 2 stud bolts to the intake manifold.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 5.0 N.m (44 lb in).

  3. Connect the bracket with the bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (8 lb ft).

  4. Install a new gasket into the intake manifold.

  5. Install the intake manifold and intake manifold stay with the 4 bolts and 2 nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).

  6. Connect the 3 hoses.
  7. Connect the wire harness bracket with the bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (8 lb ft).

  8. Install the throttle body assembly.
  9. Install the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with hose.
  10. Install the engine cover.
  11. Add the engine coolant.
  12. Inspect for coolant leak.
