Inspection Procedure

  1. Inspect the manual transaxle oil.
  2. Stop the vehicle in a level place.
  3. Remove the transmission filler plug and the gasket.
  4. Check that the oil surface is within 5 mm (0.20 in) from the lowest position of the hole for the transmission filler plug opening.
  5. Check for oil leakage when the oil level is low.
  6. Install a new gasket and the transmission filler plug and tighten to 49 N.m (36 lb ft).
