Transmission Fluid Pump Assemble

  1. Install the clutch drum oil seal ring.
  2. Coat 2 new clutch drum oil seal rings (1) with ATF, and install them to the stator shaft.

  3. Install the front oil pump oil seal to the oil pump body.

    Specifications:  Oil seal driven in depth: -0.15 to 0.15 mm (-0.00590 to 0.00590 in)

  4. Install the front oil pump driven gear.
  5. Coat the front oil pump driven gear with ATF, and install it to the oil pump body with the marked side (1) facing upward.

  6. Install the front oil pump drive gear.
  7. Coat the front oil pump drive gear with ATF, and install it to the oil pump body with the marked side facing upward (1).

  8. Install the stator shaft assembly.
    9. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  9. Using a TORX socket wrench T30, install the stator shaft assembly with the 10 TORX screws. Tighten the screws to 9.8 N.m (87 lb in).

  10. Inspect the oil pump assembly.
  11. Turn the drive gear with 2 screwdrivers and make sure that it rotates smoothly.

  12. Install the front oil pump body O-ring.
  13. Coat a new front oil pump body O-ring with ATF, and install it to the oil pump.
