Installation Procedure

  1. Remove the J 44212:  tool from the right cylinder head camshafts.

  2. Ensure new camshaft cover seals are installed.
  3. Place the right camshaft cover in position on the cylinder head by aligning the bolt holes.
    4. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Install the camshaft cover bolts and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the right ignition coil ground strap to the right cylinder head and right camshaft cover.
  6. Install the right cylinder head ignition coil ground strap bolt. Tighten the right cylinder head ignition coil ground strap bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  7. Install the right camshaft cover ignition coil ground strap bolt. Tighten the right camshaft cover ignition coil ground strap bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
