Component Testing

Sunshade Switch
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the sunshade switch.
- Test for infinite resistance between the signal terminal C and the ground terminal A with the switch in the open position.
- If not the specified value, replace the sunshade switch.
- Test for less than 2 ohms between the signal terminal C and the ground terminal A with the switch in the closed position.
- If greater than the specified range, replace the sunshade switch.
Rear Window Sunshade Actuator
- Disconnect the X2 harness connector at the rear window sunshade module.
- Install a 10-amp fused jumper wire between the rear window sunshade actuator control circuit terminal 1 and 12 volts. Momentarily install a jumper wire between the rear window sunshade actuator control circuit terminal 2 and ground. The rear window sunshade actuator should perform the EXTEND or RETRACT function.
- If the function does not perform as specified, replace the rear window sunshade actuator.
- Reverse the jumper wires. The rear window sunshade actuator should perform the RETRACT or EXTEND function.
- If the function does not perform as specified, replace the rear window sunshade actuator.
