Leak Test Procedure

  1. Attach the J 22124-91  to the air dryer. See Special Tools .
  2. Attach the J 22124-B  to the J 22124-91  with the toggle valve on the opposite side of the air compressor. See Special Tools . Close the toggle valve.
  3. Apply air pressure at the schrader valve. Pressurize until the J 22124-B  reads 690 kPa (100 psi). See Special Tools .
  4. Check the following areas using soap bubbles:
    • Solenoid valve
    • Air dryer to compressor head O-ring
    • Air dryer cover
    • Air compressor head gasket
    • Air compressor head cover-If necessary, tighten the cover bolts to 5.6 N.m (50 lb in).

If a leak is found, replace the air compressor. Refer to Air Compressor Replacement .
