Removal Procedure

  1. Rotate the transmission so that the forward clutch assembly (626-834) faces up.
  2. Remove the two 13-mm forward clutch support bolts (5) from the case.

    WARNING: The forward and coast clutch assembly weighs approximately 50 lbs. Personal injury may result if you drop the assembly.
  3. Install the J 39053:  Forward and Coast Clutch Assembly Puller. Using a chain hoist or suitable lifting equipment, secure and lift the forward and coast clutch assembly (626-834) out of the case.

  4. Remove the fretting ring (835).
  5. Remove the Lo and Reverse band (13).
