Installation Procedure

  1. Install the stabilizer shaft (3) to the vehicle.
  2. Install the exhaust manifold pipe. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Rear Pipe Replacement .

  3. Loosely install the following components:
    1. The left and right stabilizer shaft insulators
    2. The brackets
    3. The bolts
  4. Install the stabilizer shaft links. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE1 and FE3)  or Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE7) .

  5. Install the left tie rod end (1) to the steering knuckle.
    6. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  6. Install the left outer tie rod retaining nut.

    Tighten: 

    • Tighten the stabilizer shaft insulator bracket bolts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).
    • Tighten the outer tie rod end to steering knuckle to 30 N.m (22 lb ft) + 200 degrees.

  7. Install the front wheels and tires. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  8. Lower the vehicle.
