Water Crossover Assemble

  1. Install the NEW water pump O-ring.

  2. Install the water pump.
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the water pump bolts and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

    NOTE:

    Do not use any type of sealant between the plenum duct and the water crossover.

  4. Install the NEW throttle body plenum duct. Tighten the throttle body plenum duct clamp to 2.25 N.m (20 lb in).

  5. Install the rear lift bracket.
  6. Install the rear lift bracket bolt and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  7. Install the engine coolant outlet fitting and tighten to 53 N.m (39 lb ft).

  8. Install the MAP sensor.
  9. Install the MAP sensor bracket.
  10. Install the MAP sensor bracket bolt and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  11. Install the NEW throttle body seal.
  12. Install the throttle body.
  13. Install the shift cable bracket.
  14. Install the throttle body bolts and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  15. Install the EVAP emission canister purge valve.
  16. Install the EVAP emission canister purge valve bolts and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  17. Install the NEW EGR gasket.
  18. Install the EGR valve.
  19. Install the EGR valve bolts and tighten to 24 N.m (17 lb ft).

  20. Install the EGR bracket shield.
  21. Install the EGR bracket shield nut and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  22. Install the water outlet and thermostat.
  23. Install the water outlet bolts and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  24. Install the NEW water pump cover gasket.

  25. Install the water pump cover.

    NOTE:

    Ensure the bolt is installed in the lower inboard position (1) and the studs are installed in the remaining positions (2).

  26. Install the water pump cover bolt and studs and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
