Removal Procedure

  1. Without disconnecting the intermediate steering shaft, lower the steering column assembly. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .
  2. Remove the brake pedal position sensor. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement .
  3. Remove the nuts and position aside the accelerator pedal position sensor. Refer to Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor Replacement .

  4. Remove the brake pedal pushrod retaining clip verification bolt (1).

  5. Remove the brake pedal pushrod retaining clip (1).

  6. Remove the brake pedal assembly nuts (1).
  7. Disconnect the brake pedal pushrod.
  8. Remove the brake pedal assembly.
