Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Be sure to install a NEW O-ring on the EVAP purge solenoid valve.

  1. Install the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve bolt.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb ft).

  3. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (1) to EVAP canister purge solenoid valve.

  4. Connect the EVAP pipe (2) quick connect fitting to the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  5. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
