Circuit/System Verification

Ignition ON, observe the scan tool Rear Doors Lock Cmd. and Rear Doors Unlock Cmd. parameters while using the driver and passenger door lock switches. The parameters should change from Off to On.
- If the value does not change, refer to Front Door Lock Malfunction in Circuit/System Testing .
Verify the function of the driver and passenger door lock knobs by manually moving the door locks knobs between the LOCK and UNLOCK positions, all door lock knobs should move between the LOCK and UNLOCK positions without binding or require excessive force.
- If the driver or passenger door lock knob does not function or requires excessive force, refer to Door Will Not Open/Close, Door Binding, or Locks, Handles, or Cylinders Do Not Function .
Command all doors to LOCK and UNLOCK with a scan tool. All of the vehicle doors should LOCK and UNLOCK.
- If a front door does not LOCK or UNLOCK, refer to Front Door Lock Malfunction in Circuit/System Testing .
- If the left rear, right rear, middle or rear doors do not UNLOCK, refer to Door Unlock Relay Malfunction in Circuit/System Testing .
- If the left rear, right rear, middle or rear doors do not LOCK, refer to Door Lock Relay Malfunction in Circuit/System Testing .
