Fastener Tightening Specifications: Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications . Preliminary Procedure IMPORTANT: Drain only the fluid from the radiator surge tank. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) , Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac-N-Fill) . Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
1	Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Pipe Nuts (Qty: 2) TIP: Using J 38185 , position the radiator surge tank hose clamps aside and remove the hose from the radiator surge tank and engine.

Preliminary Procedure

IMPORTANT:

Drain only the fluid from the radiator surge tank.

Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) , Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac-N-Fill) .
Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .

Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Pipe Nuts (Qty: 2)
TIP: Using J 38185 , position the radiator surge tank hose clamps aside and remove the hose from the radiator surge tank and engine.
