Removal Procedure

- Apply several layers of masking tape to the mirror housing upper edge to protect the finish.
- Position the mirror glass inward at the left lower corner
- Use a suitable tool (1) insert it between the mirror glass and motor/actuator retaining tab (2).
- Turn the suitable tool (1) until the mirror glass releases from the motor/actuator retaining tab (2).
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the back of the mirror glass.
- Place the mirror glass face down on a soft cloth.
NOTE:
Do Not remove the mirror from the vehicle to perform the procedure.
NOTE:
Do Not apply pressure on the mirror glass when using the suitable tool to release the motor/actuator retaining tabs from the mirror glass.
