Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the hood.
  2. Install protective covers over the front fenders to prevent paint damage.
  3. Disengage the two clips (2), and remove the hood protector clip (1).

  4. Remove the seven retainers and the radiator support seal.
  5. Remove the hood insulator. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement .
  6. Remove the washer nozzles. Refer to Washer Nozzle Replacement .
  7. Remove the washer hose assembly. Refer to Hose Replacement (Hose Connector to Washer Nozzle) .

  8. Mark the position of the hood hinges on the hood to ease assembly.
  9. Remove the 2 mounting bolts which secure the hood (1) to each of the hood hinges (3).
  10. Remove the hood with the aid of a helper.
