Primary Latch Adjustment

  1. Raise the hood.
  2. Support the hood.
  3. Loosen the hood primary latch mounting bolts (2).
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Adjust the hood primary latch (1) so that the striker can engage with the primary latch (1) smoothly. Tighten the hood primary latch mounting bolts (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the hood mounting bolts to 7.5 N.m (66 lb in).

  5. Remove the hood support.
  6. Lower the hood.
