1	Shift Boot Bezel Tip: Grasp the edge of the shift boot bezel by reaching under the bezel from the soft boot area. Lift the shift boot bezel up to release the bezel from the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
2	Shift Control Lever Retaining Screw CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Lift the shift boot up for access. It is not necessary to fully remove the screw in order to release the control lever. Ensure the screw is lined up with the flat on the transmission shift lever before tightening. Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
3	Shift Control Lever Knob and Boot Tip: The shift control lever knob and boot must be replaced as an assembly.

Procedure

Lift the shift boot up for access.
It is not necessary to fully remove the screw in order to release the control lever.
Ensure the screw is lined up with the flat on the transmission shift lever before tightening.

Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
