Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Check and Confirm the damage or crack of the cylinder head gasket. If damaged or cracked, replace the new one.
  1. Install the cylinder head cover (1) with the gasket.
  2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the cylinder head cover bolts and tighten to 8 N.m (70.8 lb in).
  4. Install the PCV hose to the cylinder head cover.
  5. Attach the PCV clips to the PCV hose.
  6. Install the ignition coil. Refer to IGNITION COIL REPLACEMENT .
  7. Position the engine wiring harness and connect the related sensor and actuator connector.
  8. Connect the oil switch wiring connector.
  9. Connect the A/C compressor connector.
  10. Connect the manifold air temperature (MAT) sensor connector.
  11. Connect the A/C pressure (ACP) sensor connector.
  12. Connect the CAM position solenoid valve connectors (right/left).
  13. Connect the manifold air pressure (MAP) sensor connector.
  14. Connect the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve connector.
  15. Connect the injector connectors.
  16. Connect the ignition coil connector.
  17. Connect the camshaft position sensor (CPS) connectors (right/left).
  18. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
