Installation Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
    NOTE: Do not reuse the engine front cover gasket.
  1. Install the engine front cover assembly (3) with the new gasket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the engine front cover assembly bolts to 20 N.m (14.7 lb ft).

  2. Install the crankshaft sprocket (2).

  4. Install the engine coolant pipe (1) bolts.
  5. Install the engine coolant pipe (2) bracket bolt and then push the pipe into the oil cooler housing.
  6. Install the A/C compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement .
  7. Install the alternator. Refer to Generator Replacement (1.4L LDT, 1.6L LXV) .
  8. Install the power steering pump and bracket. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (1.4L LDT and 1.6L LXV Engines) .
  9. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
  10. Install the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .
