Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Oil Pressure Relief Valve Plug, Spring & Piston (Primary)

  1. Clean the plug thread, spring and piston.
  2. Install the valve piston (3).
  3. Install the valve spring (2).
    4. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Install the oil pressure relief valve plug (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the oil pressure relief valve plug to 21 N.m (15.5 lb ft).

  5. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
