Removal Procedure

    NOTE: When removing the camshaft sprockets, the timing belt replacement procedure must be followed to ensure the camshafts and crankshaft are locked into position.
  1. Remove the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .
  2. Remove the camshaft intake sprocket bolt cap (4).
  3. Remove the camshaft intake sprocket bolt (3).
  4. Remove the camshaft intake sprocket with actuator (1).
