Installation Procedure

  1. Clean the plug thread, spring and piston.
  2. Install the valve piston (1).
  3. Install the valve spring (2).
    4. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Install the oil overpressure relief valve plug (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the oil pressure relief valve plug to 10 N.m (88.5 lb in).

  5. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
