Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module Replacement

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the driver seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  3. Fold back the carpet to access the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM).
1 Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module Nut (Qty: 3)
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:  10 N.m (89 lb in)

2 Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connections.
  2. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  3. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
