Removal Procedure

  1. Position the transmission shift control lever to the park position.
  2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Ensure the transmission range selector lever is positioned to mechanical park.

  5. Remove the range selector cable retaining clip (2).
  6. Remove the range selector cable (3) from the range selector cable bracket (1) at the transmission.
  7. Remove the range selector cable (3) from the transmission range selector lever ball stud (4).
  8. Lower the vehicle and ensure that the shift lever is still in the park position.

  10. Remove the console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  11. Remove the range selector cable end (2) from the transmission shift control lever ball stud.
  12. Remove the range selector cable (1) from the transmission shift control lever housing.

  14. Remove the range selector cable grommet (1) from the floor panel.
  15. Remove the range selector cable from the vehicle.
