Installation Procedure

  1. Spread the console side panels apart and install the shift control assembly.
    2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  2. Install the shifter fasteners.

    Tighten:  Tighten the shifter fasteners to 9 N.m (79 lb in).

  3. Connect the shifter assembly electrical wire harness connector.

  4. Install the transmission range selector cable (1) to the shift control base.
  5. Install the transmission range selector cable terminal (2) to the shift control pin.
  6. Install the console trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Trim Plate Replacement .
  7. Adjust the automatic transmission range selector cable. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment .
