Seat Belt Height Adjuster Replacement - Front (Driver Side)

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to SIR Caution (SIR Caution).
1. Disable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the seat belt shoulder guide. Refer to Seat Belt Retractor Pretensioner Replacement - Left Front (Seat Belt Retractor Pretensioner Replacement - Left Front).
3. Remove the front side door sill trim plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the rear side door sill trim plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Remove the center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Remove the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Remove the following components from the vehicle:

* The bolt
* The front seat shoulder belt retractor tension adjuster (1)




Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

1. Install the front seat shoulder belt retractor tension adjuster (1) to the vehicle. Secure the adjuster with the bolt.

Tighten the front seat shoulder belt retractor tension adjuster bolt to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).

2. Install the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Install the center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Install the seat belt shoulder guide. Refer to Seat Belt Retractor Pretensioner Replacement - Left Front (Seat Belt Retractor Pretensioner Replacement - Left Front).
5. Install the front side door sill trim plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Install the rear side door sill trim plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Enable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
