Fixed Antenna Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove antenna mast. Refer to Fixed Antenna Mast Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the 4 retainers (4) which secure the antenna cable (3) to the roof (5).




4. Disconnect the rear antenna extension cable. Refer to Radio Antenna Cable Extension Cable Replacement (Radio Antenna Cable Extension Cable Replacement).
5. Remove the nut (4) which secures the antenna cable base (1) to the roof of the vehicle.




6. Release the 2 tabs (2) from the antenna cable base (1).
7. Remove the antenna base cable assembly (1) from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Insert the antenna cable (3) through the opening in the roof, make sure the 2 tabs (2) lock in.
2. Connect the antenna base cable assembly, to the rear antenna extension cable. Refer to Radio Antenna Cable Extension Cable Replacement (Radio Antenna Cable Extension Cable Replacement).





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

3. Secure the antenna cable base (1) to the roof with the nut (4).

Tighten the antenna base cable nut (4) to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).





4. Route the antenna base cable assembly (1) along the roof (5).
5. Secure the antenna cable (1) to the roof (5) with the 4 retainers (4).
6. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Install the antenna mast. Refer to Fixed Antenna Mast Replacement (Service and Repair).
