Preliminary Procedures Remove the control valve body cover. Refer to Control Valve Body Cover Replacement . IMPORTANT: After an internal transmission repair or internal part replacement the service fast learn adapt procedure should be performed. Perform the service fast learn adapt procedure. Refer to Service Fast Learn Adapts .
1	Input Speed Sensor (ISS) Wire Harness Tip: Attach DT-47734 speed sensor harness tether to the ISS electrical connector locking tab before removal of old ISS to assist in installation of the new ISS. See Special Tools . Special Tools: DT-47734 Speed Sensor Harness Tether. See Special Tools .
2	Input Speed Sensor Bolt M6 x 25 NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tip: Apply threadlocker GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or equivalent to the input speed sensor bolt. Tighten: 9 N.m (7 lb in)
