Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Clean the oil level indicator tube.
  2. Apply GM sealant around the oil level indicator tube 12.7 mm (0.50 in) below the bead. Refer to Sealers, Adhesives, and Lubricants  for the correct part number.

  3. Install the oil level indicator tube (2) into the engine block.
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  4. Install the oil level indicator tube bolt (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the oil level indicator (1).
