Upper Intake Manifold Installation

  1. Install the upper intake manifold gaskets (516).
  2. Install the upper intake manifold (500).
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the upper intake manifold bolts and studs (501, 508). Apply threadlock GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) to the threads.

    Tighten:  Tighten the upper intake manifold bolts and studs to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the throttle body seal (513) and the throttle body (514).
    5. IMPORTANT: Do not tighten the throttle body bolts until the heater outlet pipe is installed.
  5. Install the purge valve assembly (510, 511) and the bolt (512).

    Tighten:  Tighten the purge valve bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
