Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON, scan tool installed, perform the IPC Displays Test from the IPC Special Functions menu. Verify that all IPC indicators including the engine coolant temperature indicator illuminates and turns OFF after the displays test.
    • If the engine coolant temperature indicator does not perform the displays test, replace the IPC.
  2. Ignition ON, verify that the scan tool Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor parameter is less than 248°F (120°C).
