Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement (LY7)

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  2. Remove front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (SS) or Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Torrent) or Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Equinox) .
  3. Remove the upper radiator brackets.
  4. Disconnect hood switch inline connector.
  5. Reposition radiator if necessary.
  6. Remove cooling fan and shroud. Refer to Cooling Fan and Shroud Replacement .
  7. Disconnect the high pressure switch electrical connector.
1 Compressor Hose Assembly Nut (Qty: 2)
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  20 N.m (15 lb ft)
2 Sealing Washer
Tip:  Remove and discard sealing washer. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement .
3 A/C Compressor Assembly Hose
Procedure: 
Remove hose through radiator core support.
