Removal Procedure

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
Place a drain pan under the transaxle to catch any spilled transaxle fluid.
Remove the right front wheel drive shaft. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement .
If equipped with an axle seal dust cover, discard it and do not replace it.

Using the J 45000 remove the right drive axle seal from the transaxle.
Clean the seal bore in the transaxle housing.
