Removal Procedure

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Place a drain pan under the transaxle to catch any spilled transaxle fluid.
- Remove the left front axle shaft. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement .
- Using the J 45000 , remove the axle seal from the transaxle and discard.
- Clean the seal bore in the transaxle housing.
