2nd Clutch Sprag Assembly Assemble: Assemble

Install the second clutch sprag end bearing (502).
Install the second clutch sprag assembly (503) rotating counter clockwise while installing. If the sprag assembly will not rotate counter clockwise turn over and install again.
Install the second clutch sprag end bearing (502).

Apply J 36850 to the second coast clutch hub thrust washer (501). See Special Tools .
Align the tab of the washer with the hollow of the second coast clutch hub (500).
Install the second coast clutch hub thrust washer (501) onto the second coast clutch hub (500).
While turning the second coast clutch hub (500) clockwise, slide it into the second clutch sprag outer race assembly (505).

Hold the second clutch sprag outer race assembly, and inspect that the second coast clutch hub turns freely clockwise (2) and locks counterclockwise (1). If the hub does not turn clockwise turn the sprag race assembly over.

Install the second clutch sprag outer race thrust washer (506) aligning the tabs with the hollow of the second clutch sprag outer race assembly (505).
