Installation Procedure

  1. Coat the valve lifters using prelube GM P/N 1052367 (Canadian P/N 992869) or the equivalent.
  2. Install the valve lifters in their original locations.
  3. Install the lifter guide.
    4. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Apply threadlock GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or the equivalent to the lifter guide bolt threads and install the bolts. Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  5. Install the valve rocker arms and pushrods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement .
  6. Install the lower intake manifold. Refer to Lower Intake Manifold Replacement .
  7. Install the valve rocker arm cover. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Left Side  or Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Right Side .
  8. Inspect for leaks.
