Valve Rocker Arm Cover Removal - Left Side

  1. Remove the foul air tube bolt (535) and the clip (534).
  2. Remove the foul air tube (533).

    CAUTION: Valve rocker arm cover gasket and sealant must be carefully trimmed away from lower intake manifold gasket. Failure to do so will damage the lower intake manifold gasket, causing a severe oil leak.
    NOTE: When removing the valve rocker arm cover make sure the gasket stays in place attached to the cylinder head.
  4. Remove the valve rocker arm cover bolts.
  5. Remove the valve rocker arm cover.
  6. Remove and discard the valve rocker arm cover gasket, valve rocker arm cover grommets and valve rocker arm cover bolts if they are serviced with the grommet.

  8. Trim valve cover gasket and sealant away from lower intake manifold gasket at the cylinder head to lower intake manifold joints (1).
  9. Remove the valve rocker arm cover gasket.
