Upper Intake Manifold Installation

  1. Install the upper intake manifold gaskets (516).
  2. Install the upper intake manifold (500).
    3. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the upper intake manifold bolts and studs (501, 508). Apply threadlock GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) to the threads. Tighten the upper intake manifold bolts and studs to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  4. Install the throttle body seal (513) and the throttle body (514).
    5. NOTE: Do not tighten the throttle body bolts until the heater outlet pipe is installed.
  5. Install the purge valve assembly (510, 511) and the bolt (512). Tighten the purge valve bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
