Exhaust Manifold Installation - Left Side

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  1. Install the exhaust manifold studs and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
  2. Install the exhaust manifold gasket.
  3. Install the exhaust manifold.
  4. Install the exhaust manifold nuts in sequence and tighten to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
  5. Install the left side spark plugs and tighten to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
  6. Install the spark plug wires to the spark plugs.

  7. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield.
  8. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  9. Install the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve gasket (615) and the EGR assembly (612, 614) to the upper intake manifold.
  10. Install the EGR valve bolts (616) and tighten to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
  11. Install the EGR pipe gasket (610) and pipe (612) to the left exhaust manifold.
  12. Install the EGR pipe bolts (616) and tighten to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
