Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Pontiac Torrent and 2009 Chevrolet Equinox. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X2 harness connector at the clutch control module.
  2. Ignition ON, verify a test lamp does not illuminate between the following circuits and ground:
    • low reference terminal 2
    • signal terminal 4
    • If the test lamp illuminates, test the appropriate circuit for a short to voltage.
  3. Ignition OFF, test for infinite resistance between the following circuit terminals and ground:
    • low reference terminal 2
    • signal terminal 4
    • If less than the specified value, test the appropriate circuit for a short to ground.
  4. Test for 310-113 K ohms between the low reference circuit terminal 2 and the signal circuit terminal 4.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the appropriate circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the rear wheel drive module clutch housing.
  5. If all circuits test normal, replace the CCM.
