Installation Procedure

  1. Install the EVAP purge solenoid.
    2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  2. Install the EVAP purge solenoid bracket bolt (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting (2) to the EVAP purge solenoid. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  4. Connect the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting (1) to the EVAP purge solenoid. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  5. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (4) to the EVAP purge solenoid.
  6. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
