Removal Procedure

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
If equipped with front wheel drive (FWD), disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the knock sensor.

If equipped with all wheel drive (AWD), disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the knock sensor.

Loosen the knock sensor bolt and remove the knock sensor.
