Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Pontiac Torrent and 2009 Chevrolet Equinox. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Lower the rear suspension support. Refer to Support Replacement (AWD)  or Support Replacement (FWD) .

    NOTE: Hold the ball shaft secure with a TORX® bit, when removing the nut.
  4. Remove the stabilizer link to stabilizer shaft nut.

  6. Remove the stabilizer shaft clamp bolts.
  7. Remove the stabilizer shaft clamps and bushings from the stabilizer shaft.
  8. Disengage the stabilizer shaft from the stabilizer link ball studs, while removing the stabilizer shaft from the vehicle.
