Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LY7 GE 47716 Fill)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LNJ GE 47716 Fill)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LNJ Static Fill)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LY7 Static Fill) .

  3. Release and slide the thermal bypass pipe hose clamps (2) away from the hose connections.
  4. Remove thermal bypass hose (1).
