Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LY7 GE 47716 Fill)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LNJ GE 47716 Fill)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LNJ Static Fill)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LY7 Static Fill) .

  3. Remove the surge tank inlet hose clamp from the surge tank.
  4. Disconnect the surge tank inlet hose from the surge tank.

  6. Remove the surge tank bolts from the surge tank.
  7. Lift the surge tank to gain access to the heater outlet hose.
  8. Remove the heater outlet hose clamp from the surge tank.
  9. Remove the heater outlet hose from the surge tank.
  10. Remove the surge tank from the vehicle.
