Engine Mount Strut Bracket Replacement - Right Side

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (L26 - 3.8L) (Service and Repair)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LS4 - 5.3L) (Service and Repair) .




2. Remove the right engine mount strut from the right engine mount strut bracket.
3. Remove the air conditioning compressor mounting bolts. Refer to Compressor Replacement (L26 - 3.8L) (Service and Repair)Compressor Replacement (LS4 - 5.3L) (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove and set the air conditioning compressor aside.




5. Remove the bolts from the right engine mount strut bracket.
6. Remove the right engine mount strut bracket.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the right engine mount strut bracket over the pin locator.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

2. Install the bolts through the right engine mount strut bracket to the cylinder head.

Tighten the engine mount strut bracket bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

3. Install the air conditioner compressor . Refer to Compressor Replacement (L26 - 3.8L) (Service and Repair)Compressor Replacement (LS4 - 5.3L) (Service and Repair) .

Tighten the air conditioning compressor mounting bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).





4. Install the right engine mount strut to the right engine mount strut bracket.
5. Connect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (L26 - 3.8L) (Service and Repair)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LS4 - 5.3L) (Service and Repair) .
